Howdy Folks, Jo Ellen here. I'll be entering some info and news on this page from time to time. Meantime, here on our new website I'd like to share some interesting news about The Brombies.
I wanted
to share an email that a friend sent me. It's such a blessing to have
folks who come to see us whose company we love.
We all
sure had a great time last night and Ed and I a double treat getting
to see and hear you on Monday too. Two really great times back to back.
My Sis has already been on the phone to North Carolina to our Brother
letting him know what a good time Mom and all of us had and how her
energy level lasted through the night. Mom and Sis went to bed when
we got home but by 12:30 Mom was back up and having me cut her a piece
of cheese cake. We sat and talked about the good time we had. We couldnt
make these great memories without you and the wonderful music and times
you create. Thanks for everything. Dennis
This is a long address to a webpage that has a nice review of our CD.
Cut and paste it.

In Sept. of 2010, Jo Ellen & George were chosen to perform a song they wrote, "Every Step of The Way" in the IBMA Songwriters Showcase in the Nashville, Tenn. yearly convention.
They were also a part of that Showcase in the year 2005 with two of their songs: "Little, Bitty Piece of God" & "We're Findin' Our Way Back Home".
In April of 2010, two songs of Jo Ellen & George's were chosen to be one of the 3 finalists in the Chris Austin Song Contest that is part of Merlefest (one of the largest festivals in the U.S.) In the gospel category "Amen" was chosen and also in the bluegrass category, "Whisper Sweet Goodbye" was chosen. Both of these songs are on their new CD.
They've also been chosen as finalists in that Song Contest in both the gospel and bluegrass categories in the years 2007 & 2009.
Many of you might already be familiar with a website called County Sales. This was a mail order store long before they had an Internet site. They sell only CD's they chose and all they sell are old time music, bluegrass and gospel. They've been in business for about 35 years. We are very happy to report that they asked for our new CD to be in their catalogue. www.countysales.com
For those of you who have been coming to see us at Viva Cantina these past 5 years; we thank you for your support. There have been a lot of changes over there. Like many businesses these days, they're doing what they can to keep the place open. With that in mind, the Monday night Bluegrass Jam and Concerts will now be in the BACK ROOM. Cody Bryant is experimenting with this new adventure in the hopes that folks who don't like the noise from the bar crowd will enjoy this listening room. The back bar will also be opening soon.
By the way, the word "Fresh" will now be eliminated from the name "Viva Cantina". No one knew what the "fresh" meant anyway.
All for now Folks, Adios Amoebas.
